Role Overview
We are looking for a Linux L1+ Engineer to provide first-level infrastructure support, monitor Linux systems, troubleshoot user and server issues, and escalate complex incidents to higher-level teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Linux servers, system health, alerts, backups, and applications
- Troubleshoot OS, access, networking, storage, and connectivity issues
- Manage user accounts, permissions, SSH access, and basic configurations
- Support patching, software installation, backups, and routine maintenance
- Perform basic Shell scripting and system-log analysis
- Create and update tickets, follow SOPs, and maintain documentation
- Coordinate with L2/L3, network, application, and infrastructure teams
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of RHEL, CentOS/Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, storage, filesystems, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with monitoring, backup, patching, and ITSM/ticketing tools
- Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Linux administration or infrastructure support
Preferred
- Experience with Bash scripting, Ansible, VMware, cloud platforms, or EDA environments
