Role Overview
Responsible for providing second-level technical support, troubleshooting server issues, and maintaining the stability, performance, and security of Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Linux, system, storage, network, and performance-related issues
- Monitor server health, availability, capacity, and resource utilization
- Manage user accounts, permissions, SSH access, services, processes, and file systems
- Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance
- Support incident, problem, and change-management activities
- Analyze logs and alerts to identify and resolve issues within SLA
- Support backups, restoration, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation
- Collaborate with L1, L3, application, network, database, and security teams
- Maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, preferably RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu
- Experience with Bash scripting, systemd, LVM, NFS, SSH, DNS, TCP/IP, and file systems
- Familiarity with monitoring and IT service-management tools
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Educational Qualifications
- Any technical degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science
Experience
- 4-7 years of experience as a Linux Administrator
