Role Overview
Responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex production issues, and maintaining the stability, security, and performance of enterprise Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex Linux, system, storage, network, and performance-related issues
- Lead critical incident resolution and root-cause analysis
- Manage Linux servers, upgrades, patching, hardening, and system optimization
- Support high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud environments
- Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible
- Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and cloud teams
- Create technical documentation and mentor L1 and L2 engineers
Required Skills
- Strong experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, or other Linux distributions
- Advanced troubleshooting of system, boot, kernel, storage, and networking issues
- Knowledge of LVM, NFS, SSH, DNS, TCP/IP, SELinux, and systemd
- Experience with Shell scripting, Ansible, monitoring, and IT service-management tools
- Good understanding of high availability, security, and disaster recovery
Educational Qualifications
- Any technical degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science
Experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator
- Experience handling L3 escalations in enterprise or production environments
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skill
