Role Overview
We are looking for a Linux L1+ Engineer with EDA support experience to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux systems and electronic design automation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L1.5 support for Linux servers, EDA tools, and user issues
- Monitor system health, jobs, applications, storage, and alerts
- Troubleshoot Linux, network, access, license, and application issues
- Support EDA tools, license servers, job schedulers, and compute environments
- Manage user accounts, permissions, SSH access, and basic server configurations
- Assist with patching, backups, installations, and routine maintenance
- Log incidents, follow SOPs, and escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams
- Maintain documentation and coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, and vendor teams
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of RHEL, CentOS/Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu
- Basic understanding of Shell scripting, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, storage, and file systems
- Experience supporting EDA tools or semiconductor engineering environments
- Good troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Linux administration or technical support
Preferred
- Familiarity with FlexLM/LMGRD license management and job schedulers is preferred
