Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior LSF Administrator to manage, support, and optimize IBM Spectrum LSF workload-management environments across enterprise Linux platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support IBM Spectrum LSF clusters, queues, hosts, and resource policies
- Monitor job scheduling, cluster health, capacity, and system performance
- Troubleshoot job failures, scheduling issues, host connectivity, and performance problems
- Configure LSF services, resource managers, job policies, user access, and integrations
- Perform upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and environment migrations
- Develop automation using Shell, Python, or Perl scripting
- Integrate LSF with Linux infrastructure, storage, databases, and application platforms
- Maintain monitoring, documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
- Provide L3 support, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, storage, and vendor team
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of RHEL/Ubuntu, Linux troubleshooting, networking, storage, and system performance
- Hands-on experience with LSF cluster configuration, scheduling, queues, resource allocation, and job management
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl
- Experience with monitoring, patching, upgrades, high availability, and ITIL processes
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Linux administration and IBM Spectrum LSF administration
Preferred
- Experience with HPC/grid environments, cloud platforms, Ansible, Kubernetes, or workload-management integrations
- IBM Spectrum LSF certification or equivalent production experience
